WebSphere Commerce updates include fixes to code or functionality through fix packs and include additions of new features or enhancements through mod packs.

After you install a WebSphere Commerce maintenance package, complete the following steps.
Enabling fixes and enhancements that are included in maintenance packages
When you install a maintenance package, some fixes and enhancements are not automatically enabled on your environment for various reasons.
Additional steps for orders, payments, or inventory-related interim fixes
Some fixes include changes that affect your Orders, Payments, and Inventory components. After you install a maintenance package, you might need to complete additional steps if you want to enable a particular fix on your environment.

KB0076287 implements the ability for a temporary promotion reservation to be applied to an order, thereby counting towards a redemption limit without the need for an order to be completed.

        If you do not want WebSphere Commerce to automatically delete order items that have an obsolete contract, then complete the following task to disable the feature.

WebSphere Commerce Version 8.0.4.24 or later

Enabling fix KB0076287

KB0076287 implements the ability for a temporary promotion reservation to be applied to an order, thereby counting towards a redemption limit without the need for an order to be completed.

Before you begin

Install any of the fix packs that include KB0076287. This fix is included in Fix Pack 24 of Mod Pack 4. Install this, or a later version of WebSphere Commerce before you enable this feature.

Procedure

This feature requires the version of CheckoutPayments.js from Fix Pack 24 of Mod Pack 4, or later be included on your storefront. Ensure that the version of this file on your storefront is updated to the version provided in the Aurora starter store that is packaged with WebSphere Commerce 8.0.4.24, or later.
