DB2 considerations when you create a database
You can use an existing database and customize it to be used with a WebSphere Commerce instance. Alternatively, you can create a database manually first, and then use the new database
when you create a new instance.
Creating a DB2 database for use with the WebSphere Commerce instance involves the following tasks:
- Creating the database object.
- Creating buffer pools of various page sizes.
- Creating table spaces to be used by WebSphere Commerce instance schema objects.
- Tuning the database and database manager configurations for use with WebSphere Commerce.
