ModifyForumMessageList URL

The ModifyForumMessage command is used to delete forum messages or change the view status from private to public. It updates the viewstatus and msgstatus columns of the FORUMMSG table using the ForumMessageHelper class.

URL structure

http:// host_name/path/

The fully qualified name of your WebSphere Commerce Server and the configuration path.

Parameter values

msg_id

Required: The message reference number.

msgstatus

The message status. Messages marked 'D' are deleted.

viewstatus

The view status. Messages marked 'S' are public.

msgaction

Action to be performed. Action can be delete ('msgaction=D') or mark public 'msgaction=P')

viewtask

The view command name which this URL will redirect to.

Example

This example updates a message in the forum:

Behavior

• Validates the parameters.
• Calls the ForumMessageHelper to update the MSGSTATUS and VIEWSTATUS columns of the FORUMMSG table.
