  - Getting started with BigFix DEX application
    This section of the user guide provides information about how you can login, manage your account settings, and perform other application mappings that would enable you to further view and access information from the reports and dashboards efficiently.
    - Login in to BigFix DEX application
      This section provides information on how to login to the BigFix DEX application. The administrator provides you with the URL, username, and password once the installation is complete. You can use the initial password to login to the BigFix DEX application. Refer to the password setup process for more information on the password configuration.
    - Account Settings
      This section provides information on setting up the user account. You can choose themes and set the default time and zone, and default homepage from a list of pages. This link is available once you have logged in into the account and is visible under the username menu.
    - Application mapping
      Application Mapping refers to the process of associating various attributes, such as category, application type, user interface, reporting, license type, cost, and active status, with specific applications. The purpose of Application Mapping is to enrich the data obtained from the DEX database by adding additional attribute.

Signing out of BigFix DEX

To ensure the connection between the user interface and the DEX server, use the Logout link in the main menu to exit BigFix DEX application before closing the browser.

To signout of BigFix DEX, perform the following steps:

Select the username and click Logout.
All sessions opened under BigFix DEX are closed, the current user is logged out, and the application automatically shows the login page.
CAUTION: Do not exit the application by closing the browser.
