    This section of the user guide provides information about how you can login, manage your account settings, and perform other application mappings that would enable you to further view and access information from the reports and dashboards efficiently.

      This section provides information on how to login to the BigFix DEX application. The administrator provides you with the URL, username, and password once the installation is complete. You can use the initial password to login to the BigFix DEX application. Refer to the password setup process for more information on the password configuration.

      Application Mapping refers to the process of associating various attributes, such as category, application type, user interface, reporting, license type, cost, and active status, with specific applications. The purpose of Application Mapping is to enrich the data obtained from the DEX database by adding additional attribute.

Account Settings

This section provides information on setting up the user account. You can choose themes and set the default time and zone, and default homepage from a list of pages. This link is available once you have logged in into the account and is visible under the username menu.

To manage an account, perform the following steps:

Click the username and then select Account Settings. The User Preference Setting page opens.
Select the preferred timezone and then select the suitable time format.
Select a theme from the dropdown menu and then select the default page from the available options using the dropdown in the default page field.
The user can reset the login password by selecting the Reset Password checkbox. It prompts the New Password and Confirm Password text box.
Click Save.
