  HCL VersionVault provides two clients for software developers: local and remote. Each client supports different mechanisms for accessing source-controlled filesystem objects. Both clients provide graphical and command-line interfaces.

To start the Version Tree Browser

About this task

Start the Version Tree Browser from the File Browser or a command prompt.

Procedure

Do one of the following.

From the File Browser, select a file or directory element and click either the Version Tree toolbar button or Versions > Show version tree.
From a command prompt, type either of the following commands:
- ```
 cleartool lsvtree -graphical path ...
```
- ```
 xversionvault -vtree path &
```
Specify for path the full or relative path for one or more elements. For each element, a Version Tree Browser window opens.
