To update a snapshot view after moving it or after moving the view storage directory

On the UNIX system or Linux, after moving a snapshot view, you must use cleartool update (or cleartool update -print) to modify .ccase_svreg in your home directory. Some HCL VersionVault operations use information from this file and will not succeed until you use update to modify it.

On Windows systems, after moving a snapshot view, you must update any view shortcuts in HCL VersionVault Windows Explorer that use the old path to the view. If you did not create an HCL VersionVault Windows Explorer shortcut for the view and you move a view to a different computer, you must register its new location. Until you register its new location, the HCL VersionVault user interface continues to present the old location.
