HCL VersionVault provides two clients for software developers: local and remote. Each client supports different mechanisms for accessing source-controlled filesystem objects. Both clients provide graphical and command-line interfaces.

About VersionVault Explorer preferences

Before you begin working with the HCL VersionVault Explorer, review and, if necessary, change the application's default preferences.

With preference pages you can adjust the behavior and appearance of the VersionVault Explorer. Both the HCL VersionVault Explorer and the HCL VersionVault Explorer for Eclipse support a preferences page. The HCL VersionVault Explorer for Eclipse provides additional options to specify preferences specific to the Eclipse workspace.

You can change VersionVault Explorer preferences by selecting Preferences from the Window menu to bring up the Preferences dialog box. If you are using the HCL VersionVault Explorer for Eclipse, expand the Team node and select VersionVault Explorer. If you are using the HCL VersionVault Explorer, select VersionVault Explorer.
