View your community settings while logged in

Open app settings, then tap Community Settings under the General heading. The settings are read only but you can view and navigate them just as you can when the client is logged out.

Updated animation when the chat partner is typing

The new animation now shows in the chat window itself and in the active chats list.

Notification for when the meeting mode changes

If you are in a meeting and the owner changes the meeting from moderated to non-moderated or vice versa, a notification will be displayed letting you know of the change.

AppConfig customers can now lock user credentials

When pushing a community configuration down to the client using AppConfig, an administrator can now lock the UserID and Password in addition to the community configuration. For more information, see Configuring HCL Sametime for iOS via an EMM Provider.

Note: In order for the User ID and Password field to be locked in the client, the admin must also use AppConfig to push down a value for the User ID and Password. If you are interested in trying this out, contact hcl customer support for the latest AppConfig.xml for Sametime.

New Download Progress Indicator

When a user chooses to download a meeting recording for later playback, the download happens on a background task so the user can continue using the app. We now display a download progress indicator under the title bar of the app screens so the user can monitor progress or even cancel the download.

Icons on the swipe menus

All swipe menus throughout the app now exclusively use icons. In the past some were icons and some were text.

CarPlay Update

When joining a meeting using CarPlay and you arrive at your destination before the meeting has ended, disconnecting from CarPlay will now transfer the meeting back to the phone.

Note: With 11.6.3, it is still recommended that Sametime be logged in and in the foreground when you connect to CarPlay to join a meeting.
