Stopping and starting a Sametime Gateway cluster

Complete these steps to stop and start a cluster of Sametime® Gateway servers from the Integrated Solutions Console.

Before you begin

Expected state: the deployment manager, node agents, and XMPP proxy server must be started before all servers in the cluster are started.

About this task

You must restart the cluster when you add, delete, or change a community.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Integrated Solutions Console on the deployment manager server as a user with administrative privileges.
2. Click Servers > Application servers.
3. Select the XMPP proxy server and click Start if it is not already started.

   Verify that the XMPP proxy server is running before continuing.

4. Click Servers > Clusters.
5. Select the Sametime Gateway Server cluster, and click Stop.

   Wait for the cluster to stop.

6. Click Servers > Clusters.
7. Select the Sametime Gateway Server cluster, and click Start.
8. Click Servers > Proxy servers.
9. Select the SIP proxy server and click Start if it is not already started.
