Associating environment tasks with stubs and scenarios

You can associate environment tasks with stubs or with scenarios in a test suite. Use either the Stub editor (Properties tab) or the Scenario editor (Config tab).

About this task

You can find the Environment Tasks section in two places in the Test Factory view:
  • In the Stub editor, click the Properties tab.
  • In the Scenario Editor, click the Config tab.

The section works in the same way in both places.

Procedure

  1. To add an environment task to the stub or scenario, click the Add Environment Task button ().

    The Environment Tasks selection window is displayed, listing all the environment tasks that were created in Architecture School.
  2. Select one or more environment tasks.
    You can select multiple tasks by holding the Ctrl key and clicking the tasks.
  3. Click OK.
    The tasks display in the Environment Tasks section.
  4. To delete a task, highlight the task name and click the Remove selected Environment Tasks button (a red X).
    You can select multiple tasks by holding the Ctrl key and clicking the tasks.
  5. To reorder the tasks, select a task to move and click one of the arrow buttons.
  6. If the tasks are mandatory, select Prevent stub startup upon task failures.
