Using secure password protection with Remote Build

Procedure

To use secure password protection with Remote Build, do the following steps:
  1. Start the Remote Build server using authentication mode 2 or S.
Both of these options require users to supply a user ID and password to log in to the server. For more information, see the following topics:
  2. Create a secure password file for the Remote Build client.
This file stores an encrypted password that can be passed to the Remote Build server when you issue an rccbuild command from the client.
  3. When you issue rccbuild commands, specify the –au (user ID) parameter and omit the -ap (password) parameter.
If you specify -au and omit -ap on the rccbuild command, the password is taken from the secure password file.
