Configuring z/OS Extensions

z/OS® Extensions include basic configuration tasks required to use the z/OS Extensions features and some optional configuration tasks. Some of these options need to be configured by an administrator and some need to be configured by individual users for their client environment.


Configuring the Remote Build server: Use this section if you are a system administrator who needs to set up the Remote Build server and verify client/server communication.
Configuring the TSO Client feature: Use this section if you are a system administrator who needs to customize the REXX™ execs in hlq.version.TSCRX that are used by TSO Client.
Installing and configuring CCRAM: Use this section if you are an IBM® Rational® Developer for System z® administrator who needs to install and configure ClearCase Repository Access Manager (CCRAM).
Using secure password protection: Use this section if you are a system administrator who needs to set up secure password protection.
Working with the Role-based Resource Manager: Use this section if you are a system administrator who needs to set up role-based resource manager.


Automating builds with parameterized build scripts: Use this section if you want to set up the parameterized build sample scripts to automate Remote Build operations.
Note: The parameterized build sample scripts represent one approach to automating Remote Build operations. The scripts need to be customized to suit the needs of your environment.


Installing parameterized build menu items: Use this section if you need to add the parameterized build menu items to your DevOps Code ClearCase or Windows® Explorer.
Displaying TSO Client help: Use this section if you are a TSO Client user whose installation has upgraded to version 7.1.0.2. If your site has installed z/OS Extensions version 7.1.0.2 as a new installation, you do not need to do this task.
Setting up your TSO Client environment: Use this section if you need to set up the TSO Client interface to access your DevOps Code ClearCase views on a distributed system.
Configuring the CCRAM client environment: Use this section if you are a Rational Developer for System z user who needs to map your DevOps Code ClearCase files to mainframe data sets.
Using parameterized build with Rational Developer for System z.: Use this section if you are a Rational Developer for System z user who wants to use parameterized build.
