Installing and using z/OS® Extensions
z/OS® Extensions is a component of IBM® Rational® ClearCase® that enables mainframe users to perform select DevOps Code ClearCase operations. z/OS Extensions include Remote Build, TSO Client, and ClearCase RAM (CCRAM).

Setting up your TSO Client environment
Before you use TSO Client, customize your environment by performing these tasks.
Creating copy areas on the remote system
Allocate one copy area for each distributed view. If the structure of a mapped view changes, upload the files in the view again to reflect the change.

If you rebase a view, deliver an activity, or change a config spec using base ClearCase®, refresh your copy areas.

About this task

To refresh a copy area, upload your files and type 2.1 on the option line.

To prevent synchronization problems, check files in and out only by using the client component of TSO Client.

Note: The client component of TSO Client supports file names that start with the at character (@); however, file names that are specified for a Remote Build request still must start with an alphabetic character.
