You can set Installation Manager to automatically search for updates.

When Installation Manager is installed, you can configure it to automatically check for later Installation Manager versions. If your product requires a later version, you must update Installation Manager. However, if your product works with a version that is earlier than the one on your computer, Installation Manager remains at the current version. This is because Installation Manager is backward compatible.

You can set whether Installation Manager automatically checks for updates to itself. To set this preference, open Installation Manager, click File > Preferences > Updates, and select Search for Installation Manager updates. When the preference is selected and the HCL product requires a later version of Installation Manager, you are prompted to update Installation Manager.
