Setting up an HCL Commerce development environment
This section describes how to set up an HCL Commerce development environment. The HCL Commerce development environment is a flexible collection of software, collectively known as HCL Commerce Developer, for developers or system administrators to develop and test stores and HCL Commerce application code.
Uninstalling HCL Commerce Developer
Uninstalling HCL Commerce Developer consists of removing HCL Commerce Developer and Rational Application Developer from your computer.

Prior to installing HCL Commerce Developer, you had to install prerequisite software (Rational Application Developer and WebSphere Application Server). It is recommended that you also uninstall the prerequisite software after you uninstall HCL Commerce Developer. Use IBM Installation Manager to uninstall the Rational Application Developer and WebSphere Application Server software.

Uninstalling the prerequisite software

Prior to installing HCL Commerce Developer, you had to install prerequisite software (Rational Application Developer and WebSphere Application Server). It is recommended that you also uninstall the prerequisite software after you uninstall HCL Commerce Developer. Use IBM Installation Manager to uninstall the Rational Application Developer and WebSphere Application Server software.

Before you begin

Uninstall HCL Commerce Developer.

Procedure

Stop all WebSphere Application Server servers.
Open the IBM Installation Manager.
From the Start page, select Uninstall packages.
Select the appropriate Rational Application Developer and WebSphere Application Server versions to uninstall, and then click Next.
A Summary page is displayed. Click Uninstall.
- If the uninstallation is successful, the program displays a message that indicates success.
- If the uninstallation is not successful, click View log to troubleshoot the problem.
