Enabling fix JR55671

JR55671 provides the ability to enable workspace cores under managed configurations.

About this task

The setupSearchIndex utility was updated to be able to create workspace cores when creating the managed Solr master templates and when specifying the workspace mandatory parameters, such as -dbauser and -dbauserpwd.
Note:
  • If you have not deployed the search server in the managed configuration, then you do not need to complete the following procedure. For more information about the managed configuration, see Deploying and managing the WebSphere Commerce Search server in the managed configuration.
  • If you are using managed configurations but you are not going to regenerate any new managed cores, or you are not going to add new locales, then you do not need to complete the following procedure.

Procedure

  1. Generate the managed configuration files, by running the setupSearchIndex utility.
For more information, see Setting up the WebSphere Commerce Search index structure for a specific master catalog in the managed configuration.
Note: If you are enabling managed workspace configuration, then you must specify the mandatory workspace parameters.
  2. Package and deploy the generated managed configuration file.
  3. Preprocess the WebSphere Commerce search index data.
  4. Build the WebSphere Commerce search index.
  5. Propagate the index to the production cluster by using the indexProp utility.
