Leap second and WebSphere Commerce

A leap second is a one second adjustment that is applied to UTC time to remain consistent with atomic time. Occasionally a second is added to or removed from a day so that time differences between the two time measurements never exceed 0.9 seconds.

Problem

Leap seconds are know to cause issues with some applications.

Solution

WebSphere Commerce is not impacted. WebSphere Commerce does not use timers in such a way that a leap second would cause a problem.
