When using the Firefox browser with the Management Center, the status area of the browser continually displays the Transferring data from localhost message.

When using the Firefox browser with the Management Center, the status area of the browser continually displays the Transferring data from localhost message.

Problem

Even after all tasks have completed, the Firefox browser thinks that the Flash application used with the Management Center is actively running and loading data from the server. Since this message is misleading, it is recommended that you hide the status bar in Firefox so that the message is not displayed.

Solution

To hide the status bar in the Firefox browser:

In Firefox, select Tools > Options.
In the Options dialog, click the Content button.
Ensure that the Enable JavaScript check box is selected and click the Advanced button.
In the Advanced JavaScript Settings dialog, select the Hide the status bar check box and click OK.
Click OK to save your settings and then restart your browser.

The status bar will now be hidden and the message will not be displayed.
