You must complete the steps on this page, if you want to preinstall IBM HTTP Server Version 7. If you want to preinstall IBM HTTP Server with WebSphere Commerce, you must install the web server and bring it up to the required level before starting the WebSphere Commerce installation wizard. Also, you cannot use the quick installation option of the WebSphere Commerce installation wizard. You must use the custom installation option.

Procedure

  1. Install IBM HTTP Server according to the documentation provided with the version of the IBM HTTP Server package that you are using.
    Note:
    1. WebSphere Commerce EnterpriseLinuxWebSphere Commerce ProfessionalLinux on eServer, IBM i, and IBM System p only supports Open SSL as a cryptographic engine. If the Open SSL license is not accepted during installation, SSL functions might not function properly.
    2. AIXDo not install IBM HTTP Server at the default location, /home/wasuser, when you install using the non-root user. Use another location, for example: /usr/IBMIHS.
