Enabling Order and Quote Capture Integration in the Elite starter store

To enable the Order and Quote Capture Integration features in the Elite starter store, site administrator must publish the sample EliteExternalIntegrationAddOn.sar file over the Elite starter store and make appropriate configuration settings.

Before you begin

The Order and Quote Capture Integration does not provide any default data SAR and is based on the following assumptions:
  • Base Elite store is published without any catalog data.
  • Since the commands used by the Order and Quote Capture Integration make outbound service calls, there is an external system that is configured with WebSphere Commerce to service these outbound requests.
  • Catalog and member data available in the external system is batch loaded offline from the external system into the WebSphere Commerce database.

About this task

The Order and Quote Capture Integration can be deployed using the store publish tool from the WebSphere Commerce Administrative Console.

A single store archive that is called EliteExternalIntegrationAddOn.sar is provided. This store can be published on top of the existing Elite store.

For demonstrating the external integration scenarios, a few WebSphere Commerce server-side commands must be configured such that the external integration version of the commands is executed for this store. These are loaded as command registry entries into the WebSphere Commerce server and are loaded into the WebSphere Commerce database during the publishing of the Order and Quote Capture Integration, using the store-config.xml file present inside the sample EliteExternalIntegrationAddOn.sar.
