Unalterable currency preference

A customer cannot change the preferred currency from the account information section of the Elite starter store within an Order and Quote Capture Integration framework. This restriction has been introduced to avoid a refresh of offer price through outbound calls to the external system and subsequent order recalculation.

If customers change their preferred currency from the account information section in the store front, and there are items in their shopping carts, the offer prices of the items are refreshed and the order values are recalculated. Since, in the Order and Quote Capture Integration framework, the offer prices are retrieved from the external system, there is a possibility of performance degradation when a customer updates the preferred currency. Hence, the provision for updating the preferred currency is disabled during the publishing of the Order and Quote Capture Integration. This is achieved by disabling the Preferred currency change flow feature when publishing the sample EliteExternalIntegrationAddOn.sar file.
