Presentation layer
WebSphere Commerce uses Java Server Pages (JSP) to implement the view layer of the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern. The view layer is in charge of retrieving data from the database through the use of data beans and formatting it to meet the display requirements. The view layers determines whether the request is sent to a browser or streamed out as XML. JSP files present a clean separation between data content and presentation.
Analytics for IBM WebSphere Commerce
WebSphere Commerce provides a framework that you can configure to integrate your store with an external Web analytics solution. This framework includes a tag library that you can use in store page JSP files to provide appropriate analytics information to the external analytics system.
Integrating Sales Center with IBM Digital Analytics
You can integrate WebSphere Commerce Sales Center, a rich client interface that is used for managing customers, orders, and payment information with IBM Digital Analytics, formerly known as Coremetrics Analytics, a web analytics provider. This integration provides you the capability of sending Sales Center information to IBM Digital Analytics to enhance existing analytics with information collected about your Sales Center users.
Starting the event processor scheduled job
You can manually run the EventProcessor job to collect Sales Center usage data to send the data to IBM Digital Analytics, formerly known as Coremetrics Analytics. You can manually run this job between scheduled jobs, such as when you are trying to close off a reporting period.

Procedure

Open the Administration Console.
Select Configuration > Scheduler.
Locate the last EventProcess command which is in Inactive status.
Select Change, and then click OK. Do not change anything.

Results

This job starts. You can refresh the job status until its status changes to Successful.
