You must configure HBR or HBREx on your system before the upgrade
Accessing the DiscoverCaptureSocket.cfg file
About this task
To configure HBR or HBREx, you have to access the
DiscoverCaptureSocket.cfg file. To access the
DiscoverCaptureSocket.cfg file, complete the following
steps:
Procedure
In the Portal, navigate to Discover > Manage Services.
The Discover Services Management page
appears.
In the WorldView tab, expand the concerned server
entry and expand Transport Service.
Select (DiscoverCaptureSocket.cfg).
In the Config Actions section of the Config
Info panel, click View/Edit.
In the Pipeline Editor dialog, confirm if
HBR or HBREx session agent
exists in the Transport Service configuration section.
If it does not exist, drag-and-drop the required session agent from the
Available Session Agents section to the
Transport Service configuration section. Ensure
that the downstream of HBR or
HBREx is Null.
Select HBR or HBREx.
The Edit Session Agent: HBR or Edit
Session Agent: HBREx dialog appears.
Update the values of the Config Item Canister AppName
(n). The (n) in
Canister AppName (n)
represents the number of processor servers. If there are three processor
servers, you must update the values of Canister AppName
(1), Canister AppName
(2), and Canister AppName
(3). To update the values,
double-click it.
The Edit Config Item dialog appears.
Note: From
12.1.0.3 onwards, you can set only one Canister for
HBR.
Update the value and click Apply.
In case of HBREx, update the following
configurations:
Ensure that DownStreamConfigSection value is
Null.
For Canister Name (n),
enter the hostname of the processing server machine.
Updating the HBR_Pipeline<n>.cfg
files
Procedure
In the Portal, navigate to Discover > Manage Services.
The Discover Services Management page
appears.
In the WorldView tab, expand the concerned server
entry and expand Transport Service.
Select
(HBR_Pipeline<n>.cfg).
In the Config Actions section of the Config
Info panel, click View/Edit Raw.
The HBR child pipeline configuration dialog
appears.
Update the value of the AppName. For example, in
Configuring HBR or HBREx if you configured
Canister AppName (1),
Canister AppName (2), and
Canister AppName (3), the
value for AppName in
HBR_Pipeline<1>.cfg will
be the value of Canister AppName
(1).
Click Save.
Repeat the steps for all other
HBR_Pipeline<n>.cfg
files.
