    You can configure an HCL VersionVault host running Linux® or the UNIX system to support access to VOBs and dynamic views from computers that do not run HCL VersionVault.

    If you can estimate the number of elements, versions, and derived objects that a VOB will ultimately contain, you can compute a very rough estimate of the size of a VOB that can accommodate them. VOB storage includes a database and pools. On Windows®, the database and pools must reside on a single disk partition.       A user region map specifies a HCL VersionVault registry region to which a user or group will be given access when using the HCL VersionVault remote client. A user or group named in a region map can access only those VOBs that have tags in a specified region.

Configuring the WebSphere Profile for the VersionVault WAN server

About this task

If you install the VersionVault WAN server into a new WebSphere profile, the VersionVault installer configures the profile for you. However, if you install the VersionVault WAN server into an existing WebSphere profile, you must configure the profile.
