General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) support
The GDPR has been adopted by the European Union (“EU"). It establishes a stronger data protection regulatory framework for processing of personal data of individuals, impacts IBM and IBM's client contracts, policies and procedures when handling personal data.
System requirements and compatibility
Distributed Marketing operates as part of the IBM® Marketing Software suite of products. Distributed Marketing version 10.0 requires IBM Marketing Platform 10.0 and IBM Campaign 10.0.
New features and changes in 10.0
This section describes the new features and changes that are introduced in the 10.0 version of Distributed Marketing.

Installation overview
An installation of Distributed Marketing is complete when you install, configure, and deployinstall and configure Distributed Marketing. The Distributed Marketing Installation Guide provides detailed information about installing, configuring, and deployinginstalling and configuring Distributed Marketing.
Planning the Distributed Marketing installation
When you plan your Distributed Marketing installation, ensure that you have set up your system correctly, and that you have configured your environment to deal with any failures.
Preparing data sources for IBM® Distributed Marketing
You can use the Distributed Marketing worksheet to enter the information that is required when you install Distributed Marketing.
Installing Distributed Marketing
You must run the IBM® Marketing Software installer to start the installation of Distributed Marketing. The IBM Marketing Software installer starts the Distributed Marketing installer during the installation process. Make sure that the IBM Marketing Software installer and the product installer are saved at the same location.
Configuring IBM® Distributed Marketing before deployment
Complete the configuration tasks before you deploy the web application.
Deploying the Distributed Marketing web application
You can deploy the web application by either including Distributed Marketing in an EAR file or by deploying the Distributed Marketing WAR file.
Configuring Distributed Marketing after deployment
After you deploy Distributed Marketing, configure the Distributed Marketing environment. Configuring environments completes the basic installation of Distributed Marketing.
Setting up a web-app clustered environment for IBM Distributed Marketing
You can create a clustered environment in the IBM WebSphere Application Server to use within IBM Distributed Marketing.
Uninstalling Distributed Marketing and Attribution Modeler
Run the Distributed Marketing and Attribution Modeler uninstallers to uninstall Distributed Marketing. When you run the Distributed Marketing uninstaller, the files that were created during the installation process are removed. For example, files such as configuration files, installer registry information, and user data are removed from the computer.
configTool
The properties and values on the Configuration page are stored in the Marketing Platform system tables. You can use the configTool utility to import and export configuration settings to and from the system tables.
Upgrade overview

Customize Marketing OperationsDistributed Marketing
You can customize the Marketing OperationsDistributed Marketing interface to meet your needs. Customization settings are available in Marketing OperationsDistributed Marketing when you click Settings or Settings > Marketing OperationsDistributed Marketing Settings.
Administrative Settings page
When you select Settings > Marketing OperationsDistributed Marketing Settings, the Administrative Settings page appears.
Security
You configure security policies that grant users permission to access specific objects and features through assigned access roles.
Templates
Templates are definitions of a List, On-demand Campaign, or Corporate Campaign that corporate and field marketers use to create new objects.
Building and managing templates
To create and manage templates and template components, you use the Template Configuration page. Select Settings > Marketing OperationsDistributed Marketing Settings. Then, click Template Configuration.
Form Editor
The Form Editor creates and edits template components. Forms capture information about the List, On-demand Campaign, or Corporate Campaign.
Workflows
To help you complete different workflow-related efforts, the Workflow tab offers different view modes and an edit mode.

Corporate Campaigns
Corporate Campaigns are marketing campaigns that are planned, scheduled, and executed by a centralized marketing team.
Corporate Campaign tasks
The goal of a Corporate Campaign is to target customers that local field marketers approved.
Corporate Campaigns and field marketers
When a corporate marketer uses the Subscription task in the workflow for a Corporate Campaign, invited field marketers choose whether to subscribe to the Corporate Campaign.
Subscriptions
A subscription is the invitation to a field marketer to include their territory in a Corporate Campaign, or a wave of a multi-wave Corporate Campaign.
