Unica Deliver is a web-based, enterprise scale marketing message solution that you can use to conduct outbound bulk messaging and transactional messaging campaigns. Deliver integrates with Unica Campaign and with secure message composition, transmission, and tracking resources that are hosted by Unica.
Selecting email recipients
If you install and enable Unica Deliver within Campaign, then you can create a list that defines the recipients for a personalized messaging campaign. The list contains the recipient information that is used to address and personalize each message. You create a recipient list by configuring a Deliver process in a Campaign flowchart.
Specifying inputs to recipient lists
To select recipients, you must add a Deliver process to a Campaign flowchart and complete a production run of the flowchart. You can use standard flowchart tools and logic to specify one or more cells as inputs to the Deliver process. You can select production recipients, test recipients, and select addresses for use in seed lists.

  If you install and enable Unica Deliver within Campaign, then you can create a list that defines the recipients for a personalized messaging campaign.   - Recipient list definition
    You define a recipient list as an Output List Table (OLT) with the Output tab of a Deliver process in a Campaign flowchart. The table stores recipient IDs, email addresses, phone numbers for Push, SMS, and WhatsApp and additional personalization data and metadata that are selected and produced during the flowchart run.
  - Populating the OLT
    After you define the recipient list as an Output List Table (OLT), you must create the table and add recipient data. To create and populate the recipient list, you must complete a production run of the Campaign flowchart that contains the Deliver process that you used to define the list.
  - Recipient lists and transactional messages
    An Output List Table is not required to personalize transactional messages. For transactional messages, corporate transaction management systems and a local transactional messagel client application provide the recipient information instead of an OLT.
  - About working with existing recipient lists
    After you define, save, and upload a recipient list as an Output List Table (OLT), you can update the list definition, update the data in the list, or delete the list. You can also manually clear data from a list that contains recipient data.

    Data retention practices observed in HCL Unica automatically remove an uploaded recipient list from HCL Unica when the list is inactive for more than 30 days. Removing the recipient list removes all personal data and metadata that is associated with individuals on the list.

  Testing a messaging allows you to identify and resolve any problems that might exist with your messaging list, verify how the message will appear to each recipient, and address issues that might interfere with efficient transmission and delivery of your communication. For best results, test each Deliver messaging before you use it to send a production messaging.

Contents of the Deliver process Source tab

Use the Source tab to select input cells that provide information, including address information, about message recipients.


Field	Description
Production List	Select the flowchart cells that provide recipients and related data for production mailings.
Test List	Select the flowchart cells that provide recipients and related data for test mailings.
Seed List	Select the single cell that provides seed addresses.
Distribute IDs evenly	Select to insert seed addresses at equal intervals throughout the entire production recipient list.
Insert entire list for every N IDs in main list	Select to insert the entire list of available seed addresses at specified intervals throughout the production recipient list. Interval: enter a value to specify the number of recipient addresses between insertion points. The default interval is 10,000 recipients.
Communication channel	Only available if you configure Contact Central at Affinium\|Campaign\|partitions\|partitionN\|server\|internal. It is the communication channel to be used for contacting the recepients. It is mandatory if you select the Apply contact central consents checkbox.
Regional preference	Visible only if you configure Contact Central at Affinium\|Campaign\|partitions\|partitionN\|server\|internal and set the regional preference on the Campaign Summary page.
Apply contact central consents	Only available if you configure Contact Central at Affinium\|Campaign\|partitions\|partitionN\|server\|internal. Select it if you want to apply consents from the end-user to the created recipient list. If you select this checkbox, providing a value to Communication channel becomes mandatory. All the end users, who have opted out for the selected communication channel, are automatically excluded from the OLT.
