Unica Deliver is a web-based, enterprise scale marketing message solution that you can use to conduct outbound bulk messaging and transactional messaging campaigns. Deliver integrates with Unica Campaign and with secure message composition, transmission, and tracking resources that are hosted by Unica.
Selecting email recipients
If you install and enable Unica Deliver within Campaign, then you can create a list that defines the recipients for a personalized messaging campaign. The list contains the recipient information that is used to address and personalize each message. You create a recipient list by configuring a Deliver process in a Campaign flowchart.
Recipient list definition
You define a recipient list as an Output List Table (OLT) with the Output tab of a Deliver process in a Campaign flowchart. The table stores recipient IDs, email addresses, phone numbers for Push, SMS, and WhatsApp and additional personalization data and metadata that are selected and produced during the flowchart run.

    - About display names for personalization fields
      On the Output tab of the Deliver process, the Selected as personalization fields section lists the personalization fields in the Output List Table (OLT). The fields are assigned a field name and a display name.

      When you map a field in your marketing database to an OLT, the JDBC driver for your marketing database communicates the datatype that it has defined for the source database field. The JDBC data type must be one of the data types that Deliver supports.

      On the Output tab of the Deliver Process Configuration page, the Available Fields table displays a hierarchical list of fields in your marketing database that you can map to a personalization field.

      Depending on the design of the flowchart that you use to select recipients, some individuals may be selected multiple times. The Output tab of the Deliver process provides a control that allows you to skip duplicate recipient IDs.

      When you configure a process in a flowchart, you can use the Profile feature to preview field values. This feature lets you see actual values from fields in your user data. You can profile any field in a mapped data source. You can also profile derived fields.

    An Output List Table is not required to personalize transactional messages. For transactional messages, corporate transaction management systems and a local transactional messagel client application provide the recipient information instead of an OLT.

    After you define, save, and upload a recipient list as an Output List Table (OLT), you can update the list definition, update the data in the list, or delete the list. You can also manually clear data from a list that contains recipient data.

    Data retention practices observed in HCL Unica automatically remove an uploaded recipient list from HCL Unica when the list is inactive for more than 30 days. Removing the recipient list removes all personal data and metadata that is associated with individuals on the list.

Contents of the Deliver process Output tab

Use the Output tab of the Deliver process to define an Output List Table (OLT).


Field	Description
Recipient List Name	Name of the recipient list. This name is the name that you use when you reference the list in a Deliver messaging.
Clear Table Now	Removes the current values from Output List Table.
Physical Table Name	Name of the Output List Table.
Available Fields	Field Name: a hierarchical list of data source fields that are configured for the campaign and that are available to map to personalization fields defined in the OLT. Type: the personalization field data type. Designated automatically by the system, based on the JDBC datatype of the source database field.
Selected as Personalization Fields	Field Name: personalization field added to the OLT. The name is assigned by default. You cannot change this name. Display Name: The name that appears in the list of available personalization fields in the Deliver Message Editor . You can change this name.
Add	Adds a selected available field to Selected as Personalization Fields.
Remove	Moves a field that you select selected in Selected as Personalization Fields to Available Fields.
Up 1	Used to move an available field in the OLT to a specific location in the list of fields that are selected as personalization fields. Click to move up the list.
Down 1	Used to move an available field in the OLT in a specific location in the list of fields that are selected as personalization fields. Click to move down the list.
Profile	Click to profile a selected available field.
Derived field	Click to create a derived field.
More	Click to avoid duplicating entries by skipping records with duplicate IDs in the same input cell.
