Updating the definition of a recipient list

You can update the definition of a recipient list using the Deliver process that you used to create the list definition.

About this task

Updating the configuration of the Deliver process changes the definition of the recipient list but it does not add or change the recipient-specific data that was previously uploaded to the hosted messaging environment. To update the hosted list, you must run the flowchart again to populate the list according to the new definition.

To change the definition of the list you must update and save the configuration of the Deliver process. Running the flowchart again without updating the configuration does not change the definition of the list.

Procedure

  1. In Campaign, locate the Deliver process that you used to create the recipient list and open the Deliver process for configuration.
  2. On the Output tab, update the configuration of the Deliver process as required.
  3. To save your changes, click OK.

What to do next

After you change the recipient list definition, run the flowchart that contains the Deliver process so that you update data in the output list table (OLT) for the list. If you do not update the data for the list when you update the list definition, the system returns an error if you execute a mailing that references the list.
