Viewing rules by message content type

You can create different rules for HTML and text-only versions of an email or landing page that contains multiple content elements and personalization rules.

For example, rules in the HTML version of an email or landing page related to images are not available in the text-only version because displaying images is not supported in text-only email. In the text-only version, you might replace the images with text and then configure different rules to conditionalize the text-only content.

Rules for the HTML and text-only versions appear on separate tabs in the Rules Spreadsheet.

To view and manage rules for HTML email, click the HTML tab.

To view and manage rules for Text-only email, click the Text tab.
