Changing the rule evaluation order from the spreadsheet

In the Rules Spreadsheet, you can change the order in which Deliver evaluates personalization rules.

About this task

In the Rules Spreadsheet, Deliver evaluates personalization rules from top to bottom. You change the order in which Deliver evaluates the rules by moving rows up and down within a zone.

Procedure

  1. In the spreadsheet, find the zone where you want to change the rule evaluation order.
  2. Select a row.
  3. Hover over the row until arrows display in the center cell. Click the arrows to move the row up or down.
  4. Click Validate.

    The system automatically validates all rules in the spreadsheet.

    If errors exist, they are listed at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

  5. If no errors exist, click OK to save the rules and return to the document edit window.

Results

Your changes display in the edit view of the document.
