About this task

There are several ways you can initiate a chat:

From your contact list
Locate a person
From your list of previous chats

Procedure

Locate the person that you want to chat with.
Type the name in the Find a person field.
Type your message in the chat message field.
You can do one or more of the following within the chat message field.
- You can attach a file to your message by using the attach icon ().
- You can also send a meeting link to switch from a chat to a meeting. Click the meeting icon () and an instant meeting is started and the link sent to your chat partners.
- Locate and add an emoji to your message by clicking the emoji icon ().
Press Enter or the send icon () to send your message to your chat partner.
