Configuring Video MCU logging

Specify the minimum logging levels for IBM® Sametime® Video MCU servers.

Procedure

  1. Browse to the IBM WebSphere® Integrated Solutions Console on the server hosting the IBM Sametime System Console.
  2. Log in to the Integrated Solutions Console as the WebSphere administrator.
  3. In the navigation tree, click Sametime System Console > Sametime Servers > Sametime Video MCU Servers.
  4. Click the Video MCU server name for which you are configuring logging.
  5. Click Configure Logging Settings.
  6. Complete these fields:
    • Local Log File
      • Enable logging - Mark this setting to enable local logging. When logging is enabled, the Log level field is active.
      • Log level - Select the minimum logging level that is to be displayed: TRACE, DEBUG, INFO, WARN, ERROR, FATAL.
    • Remote viewer
      • Enable logging - Mark this setting to enable remote viewer logging. When logging is enabled, the Log level, IP address, and Port fields are active.
      • Log level - Select the minimum logging level that is to be displayed: TRACE, DEBUG, INFO, WARN, ERROR, FATAL.
      • IP address - Specify the IP address of the remote viewer for which you are enabling logging.
      • Port - Specify the port number of the remote viewer.
    • External syslog
      • Enable logging - Mark this setting to enable external system logging. When logging is enabled, the Log level field is active.
      • Log level - Select minimum logging level that is to be displayed: TRACE, DEBUG, INFO, WARN, ERROR, FATAL.
    • CS Logs
      • Enable logging - Mark this setting to enable CS logs.
  7. Click OK.
