Extending HCL OneDB™Beyond standard relational database objects, HCL OneDB™ can be extended to handle specialized data types, access methods, routines, and other objects. HCL OneDB™ includes many built-in extensions that are fully integrated in the database server. HCL OneDB™ also provides DataBlade® modules, which are packages of extended database objects for a particular purpose and that are installed separately from the database server. Alternatively, you can create your own user-defined objects for HCL OneDB™.

The Advanced Analytics Functions extension has requirements in addition to the requirements for the TimeSeries extension.

Time series definition requirements

The time series definition must conform to the following requirements:

The columns in the TimeSeries subtype on which you run advanced analytics queries must have one of the following data types: SMALLFLOAT, FLOAT, SMALLINT, INTEGER and DECIMAL.
The time series must be regular.

Server requirements

In addition to the TimeSeries extension, advanced analytics searches requires the Advanced Analytics Functions extension.

The Advanced Analytics Functions extension is automatically registered the first time that you run any advanced analytics function. The name of the extension is TSAFuncs.bld and it is in the $ONEDB_HOME/extend/TSAFuncs.version/ directory, where version is the internal version number of the extension.
