Sending tracking requests

You can track a message that you have sent to verify the delivery status or the entire path the message travelled.

Before you begin

To track a message, message tracking must be enabled on all of the servers through which the message must pass.


  1. Open the Mail > Sent view and select a message.
  2. Click More > Track Message and select any recipient of the message that you want to track.
  3. Select Delivery status only or Trace entire path.


Once you create a tracking request, a tracer message with the subject Message Tracking is delivered to your Sent view. This message contains a link to your tracking request. The tracking result is posted as a response to the tracer message in your Inbox.
