What's new in CF204? | HCL Digital Experience

Combined Cumulative Fix (CF204) includes new features and software fixes for the latest version of HCL Digital Experience. Release updates for both on-premises platforms and container deployments are available.

The HCL Digital Experience 9.5 Container Update and CF204 release includes new Helm support for File patterns in sidecar logging, Proxy link for CW-Profile administration console, and Ambassador replacement with HA Proxy. The release also adds updates to DAM Export and Import configuration, deprecation of select Digital Asset Management APIs and replacement with Plugin extensibility settings, new Personalization API selection rules, Instructions to back up Document Conversion Services including use with Remote Search, new complementary DX training modules in the HCL Software Academy, and more.

Personalization REST APIs

Personalization Selection REST API rules add updates to Profiler and Selection Rules, and new Embedded Web Content Selection. See the Help Center topic and Personalization Rules APIs for more information.

Notice of deprecation and replacement of Document Conversion Services

Document Conversion Services components in HCL Digital Experience software will be updated and replaced in HCL DX CF205 release. HCL Digital Experience will remove the DCS component supplied by Oracle, and replace it with the HCL supported functions. After that point, HCL Digital Experience v8.5, v9.0, and v9.5 Container Update and CF releases will include the newer HCL supported component. Replacement of HCL Digital Experience v8.5, v9.0, and v9.5 base installers and Removal of CFs prior to CF205 due to Oracle DCS deprecation:

On August 20, 2022, HCL Software License & Delivery Portal (Flexnet) and repositories managed by Immix Group for Federal customers will remove all CFs prior to CF205 (CF01 – CF204). HCL will also replace the HCL Digital Experience 8.5, 9.0, and 9.5 base installers that contain the Oracle supplied Document Conversion Services component. The HCL Software License & Delivery Portal repositories will contain only the latest HCL Digital Experience v8.5, v9.0, and v9.5 base and Container Update and CF versions, which will contain the HCL supplied Document Conversion Services component.

Important: CF versions prior to CF205 of HCL Digital Experience 8.5, 9.0, and 9.5 base and Container Update and CF releases will not be available for download after August 20, 2022.
