This guide describes how to install HCL DevOps Velocity (Velocity). After you install Velocity, you can perform administrative tasks such as license configuration, upgrading, migrating, managing access permissions and security. This guide is intended for system administrators.
Installing DevOps Velocity
To get started with HCL DevOps Velocity (Velocity), you must install it on any one of the container platforms. You can find information about the selection of a container platform, installation methods, and procedure for installing Velocity.
Installing on Google Kubernetes Engine
You can find information about tasks that you can perform to install HCL DevOps Velocity (Velocity) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) by using the Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) service.
Installation prerequisites
You must complete certain tasks before you install HCL DevOps Velocity (Velocity) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Before you begin

You must have completed the following task:

Obtained the login credentials to access the FlexNet download center.

About this task

If you have any firewall restrictions in your Kubernetes cluster, you can download the offline installation file and push the images to the remote registry which can be accessed by the Kubernetes cluster during installation. If you do not have any firewall restrictions in your Kubernetes cluster, you can download the online installation file and the images will be directly extracted from the remote repository during installation.

Procedure

Download the installation file by using any one of the following methods:

Complete the form and click Submit . After few minutes, you will receive an email containing download links and an access key for free trial edition.

Visit the FlexNet download center, navigate to the Velocity product and select the required version. Download Velocity installer and an access key for your environment.
