ClearCase activity properties

The DevOps Code ClearCase® Activity properties page displays properties of a UCM activity.

The ClearCase Activity properties page provides information about a UCM activity. Activity properties are available in projects that are enabled for Rational® ClearQuest® as well as for those that are not. In a project that is enabled for ClearQuest, some tabs are not displayed until the activity record is linked.

ClearCase activity general properties

The General tab of the ClearCase Activity properties page displays the following information about the selected UCM activity:

Property name Property description
Headline The activity headline.
ID The activity ID.
Kind Always activity.
Project The name of the UCM project in which the Stream was created.
Stream The name of the stream (in the Project) in which the activity was created.
Created on The date and time when the activity was created.
Created by The name of the ClearCase user who created the activity, in the form user_id.group_id.
Owner The ClearCase user name of the activity owner, in the form domain_name\user_id.
Tasks Lists the tasks for the activity (whether or not CMI).
Show Change Set Click this button to navigate from the Activity properties page to the Change Set view that is associated with the current activity.

ClearCase activity change set properties

The Change Set tab of the ClearCase Activity properties page displays the following information about the selected UCM activity:

Property name Property description
Name The name of a resource in the change set.
Versions The version numbers of the resource in the change set. Select Display one version per line to force each version of a resource to be listed on a separate line in this display.

ClearCase activity custom properties

The Custom tab of the ClearCase Activity properties page displays the following information about the selected activity:

Property name Property description
Attributes A list of ClearCase attributes attached to the selected activity. Each attribute has a Type and a Value.
Hyperlinks A list of hyperlinks attached to the selected activity.

ClearCase activity lock properties

The Lock tab of the ClearCase Activity properties page displays the following information about the selected activity:

Property name Property description
State One of Locked, Unlocked, or Obsolete.
Locked by The name of the ClearCase user who locked the activity, in the form user_id.group_id.
Locked on The date and time when the lock was created.
Description A comment associated with the lock.
Excluded users A list of users to whom the lock does not apply.
Add User Click to open the Add User dialog box, which allows you to add a user to the Excluded users list.
Remove User Click to remove the selected user from the Excluded users list.
Remove All Click to remove all users from the Excluded users list.

ClearCase and ClearQuest activity mastership properties

If the selected activity is in a PVOB that is replicated using DevOps Code ClearCase MultiSite or is in a replicated ClearQuest database, the Mastership tab of the ClearCase Activity properties page displays the following information about the selected activity:

Property name Property description
Current replica The replica name of the replica that holds the activity (the replica that is accessible to the ClearCase server).
Master replica The name of the replica that masters the current replica object.

The mastership of an object determines who can modify it. In general, if your current replica does not master an object, you cannot modify it.

ClearCase activity ClearQuest properties

In a UCM project that is enabled for ClearQuest, the ClearQuest tab of the ClearCase Activity properties page displays the following information about the selected UCM activity:

Property name Property description
Record Type The ClearQuest record type of the record that holds the activity.
Owner The ClearQuest user name of the owner of the activity.
View Record If your environment is configured for ClearQuest Web, this button invokes the ClearQuest record that holds the activity. You can then modify the ClearQuest record as appropriate for the activity. Fields that require modification in the ClearQuest record are highlighted.
