Find out what content you have in common with a person by using the Things in Common widget. This information can help you decide to follow that person, to invite that person to your network, or to do nothing.

About this task

The Things in Common widget is visible when you visit another person's profile page. The widget displays the public and private content that you have in common with that person, such as content from public and restricted communities that you both belong to.

Procedure

Use the Things in Common widget in the following ways:

Expand the sections to display content for a particular application.
The content can include content from public communities, content from restricted communities, forum threads, blogs, activities, files, bookmarks, and wikis that you and the profile owner have in common.
When a content listing interests you, click the title to open it and take a closer look.
