You can add a record type family to a schema for grouping stateful record types that have at least one common field.

About this task

The Designer uses the database name for the table. By default, it is the same as the record type family name.

To create a new record type family for a schema:

In the Schema Repository Explorer view, right-click on the Record Type Families folder in your schema and then click New Family Record Type.
In the Add Record Type window, select Family.
In the Record Type field, enter a name for the record type family and click OK.
