HCL Commerce is a high-availability, highly scalable and customizable e-commerce platform. Able to support hundreds of thousands of transactions per day, HCL Commerce allows you to do business with consumers (B2C) or directly with businesses (B2B). HCL Commerce uses cloud friendly technology to make deployment and operation both easy and efficient. It provides easy-to-use tools for business users to centrally manage a cross-channel strategy. Business users can create and manage precision marketing campaigns, promotions, catalog, and merchandising across all sales channels. Business users can also use AI enabled content management capabilities.

Extended sites starter store
Use an extended sites starter store to get started on setting up an extended sites solution that will allow your selling organization to provide unique storefronts for different enterprise customers or showcase a number of branded storefronts.
Creating and configuring an Extended Sites store
You can create an Extended Site, and then use the Management Center to configure store information and flows to have the store serve as an extension of your asset store. You can then upload catalog data and catalog filters for the Extended Sites store.

        Changing store profile information
        You can change store information by using the Store Management tool in the Management Center.
        Selecting store functions
        Use the Store Management tool to specify the functions that are available or unavailable in your store, such as which optional fields to display on the Registration and Change Personal Information pages.

        Catalog filtering
        Set up catalog filters to entitle your customers to a subset of your catalog. Catalog filters can also be used as one of the price rule conditions when you are determining prices for the set of catalog entries your customers are entitled to.
      - Opening and closing stores
        Use the Store Management tool to open or close a store. For example, if you want to perform maintenance on a store, you might want to close the store so that shoppers cannot shop in the store until the maintenance work is complete Then you can open the store once this work is complete so that shoppers can shop in the store.

      The Store SDK includes a reference B2C (Emerald) store application and a reference B2B (Sapphire) store application. Use these Reference Store applications to develop and deploy your own React Store applications.
    - Next.js starter store
      The Next.js store offers customizable features for storefronts using the Next.js framework. It uses the same data template as the ReactJS stores and supports business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) use cases. The store includes pages for browsing, shopping, checkout, and account management, and uses Elasticsearch for search functions.

You can create an Extended Site, and then use the Management Center to configure store information and flows to have the store serve as an extension of your asset store. You can then upload catalog data and catalog filters for the Extended Sites store.

Before you begin

Ensure that your environment contains an existing Catalog Asset Store and Storefront Asset Store. That is, either by migrating your store from a previous version of HCL Commerce, or by Creating and configuring your custom store and Populating your store's bootstrap data into the database. After doing so, you can use the HCL Commerce Accelerator to maintain online stores. For more information, see HCL Commerce Accelerator.
