Consumer direct (single store): Creating and assigning initial price rules

Using Management Center, you must create a price rule that sets prices for the catalog entries your store sells. Using HCL Commerce Accelerator, you must assign your price rule to the default contract for your consumer direct store. As a result, customers shopping on the store see prices set by the price rule you assign.

Before you begin

Step 1: Create a price rule for the store default contract

This price rule can be simple and just get a price from a price list. Alternatively, the price rule can perform calculations, and use other price rule features such as conditions and nested price rules.

Using HCL Commerce Accelerator, you can access a Price Rule tab in which you can select the price rule to use for your store.

  3. Click the Price Rule tab.
  4. In the Property Value column, select the price rule to assign to the store contract.
  5. Click Save.

Step 3. Test your results

Log on to the store and check that the prices you see are valid according to the price rule you assigned.
