Updating the installation directory (zero downtime)
Install the fix pack and any necessary interim fixes to the installation
directory to successfully update the WebSphere Commerce base product to the new fix pack
level.You must install maintenance packages (fix packs or interim fixes) to the
installation directory before you can install maintenance packages to a WebSphere Commerce instance.
When you update the installation directory, you are laying down binaries and updating template Java
ARchive (JAR) files.
Procedure

Download and install the latest cumulative interim fix for the fix pack that you installed in
step 1.
Use one of the following methods to install the interim fix:
Option Description Interactively Applying an interim fix to the WebSphere Commerce product interactively Silently Applying an interim fix to the WebSphere Commerce product silently 
Download and install interim fix JR52690 to the WebSphere Commerce product
directory by using one of the following methods.
Note: The interim fix JR52690 provides updates that are necessary to install a fix pack with zero downtime. JR52690 includes changes to files that are included in the latest fix packs and enhances the updatedb utility.
