DB2 considerations when creating a database
You can use an existing database
and customize it to be used with a WebSphere Commerce instance. Alternatively,
you can create a database manually before creating an instance, and
use the new database when creating a new instance.
Creating a DB2 database for use with the WebSphere Commerce instance
involves the following:
- Creating the database object
- Creating buffer pools of various page sizes
- Creating table spaces to be used by WebSphere Commerce instance schema objects
- Tuning the database and database manager configurations for use with WebSphere Commerce.
