Using the IBM Support Assistant search facility

The assistant is used to search for support related information across multiple search locations concurrently.


  1. Install the IBM Support Assistant and the WebSphere Commerce plug-in for the ISA.
  2. Start the IBM Support Assistant.
  3. From the Welcome page, click Find Information.
  4. Enter your search argument in the Search field.
  5. Check the Search Targets box to specify which information source you want to search.
  6. Select a combination of optional search locations.
    Note: At least one of the search options must be selected to perform a search.
  7. Click Go.
  8. Follow the search result links and view the individual search result pages.
