Workspace Management tool provides a single view across all workspaces and tasks

Use the Workspace Management tool to manage and edit workspaces, its tasks groups, and tasks. The Workspace Management tool replaces all of the workspace management features in the Workspace Administration tool and the Tasks tool.

What are some examples of workspace management tasks?

Here are some examples of workspace management activities that can be performed with the Workspace Management tool:
  • Create and cancel workspaces, task groups, and tasks
  • Assign approvers to task groups and content contributors to tasks
  • Approve a task group
  • Add comments to a task as a reminder to finish something later, a note to state what actions you performed, or extra instructions
  • View all changes that are made to a task or task in the History pane
  • Change the state of a task to complete
  • Filter work that is based on its status, such as all, canceled, complete, or current.
Feature Pack 5 or laterApprovers have greater authority to control workflow and task groups within a workspace:
  • Manage changes that are activated to the production store at a more finite level.
  • Remove or approve part or all of the workflow content.
  • Open the business object directly from the history record.
  • Compare the modified business object to the approved content to see changes that were made.
  • Undo changes to business objects within a task group history record.
