B2B-optimized widgets and new page types expand Commerce Composer capabilities
The Commerce Composer widget library is expanded to include three new widgets and one enhanced widget. In addition, two new page types are now managed in the Commerce Composer tool: SKU pages and predefined dynamic kit pages.
Additions to the Commerce Composer widget library
These new Commerce Composer widgets give you more options to enhance your store page layouts:- SKU List widget (new, for B2B direct and consumer direct stores)
- Add this new widget to any product page to display a table that contains all SKUs for the product. In this B2B-optimized widget, customers can view the full set of SKUs associated to a product in a table and scan the attributes quickly to pick the right combination.
- Catalog Entry List widget (enhanced, for B2B direct and consumer direct stores)
- This Feature Pack 7 widget is enhanced with an option to display a table that contains all SKUs for each product listed on a category or search results page.
- Add to Requisition List widget (new, for B2B direct stores only)
- If your B2B direct store supports requisition lists, you can add this widget to any catalog entry page. Customers use the widget to add the item that they are viewing to a requisition list.
- Predefined Dynamic Kit List widget (new, for B2B direct and consumer direct stores)
- For sites integrated with Sterling Configurator, this widget can display two or more predefined dynamic kit configurations on the store's dynamic kit page.
SKU pages and predefined dynamic kit pages
Use the powerful page layout capabilities of the Commerce Composer tool to manage two more page types:- SKU pages
- In the Feature Pack 7 Aurora starter store, when you viewed the
SKU of a product, the page used the same default layout as the product
details page. Now, in Feature Pack 8, you can assign a different layout
to a SKU page in the Commerce Composer tool. Tip: If you publish the Aurora starter store as a B2B direct store, the default layout for the B2B SKU details page contains a widget set that is different from the B2B product details page layout.
- Predefined dynamic kit pages
- For stores integrated with Sterling Configurator, the Aurora starter store supports predefined dynamic kits. A predefined dynamic kit contains a preconfiguration of the components in a dynamic kit. You can manage the layouts of predefined dynamic kit details pages in the Commerce Composer tool.
