Out-of-session troubleshooting

Some suggestions for troubleshooting out-of-session issues.

If AppScan is unable to complete the scan because it gets out-of-session, try the following troubleshooting steps:
  1. Check that the login credentials (username and password) you entered are still valid, by logging in to the site using an external browser.
  2. Validate the login configuration (see Login troubleshooting).
  3. Check that your user hasn't been locked out of the site due to too many failed login attempts. If this has happened:
    1. Go to Scan configuration dialog box > Login configuration > Advanced, and check that the "Number of login attempts allowed" setting matches your site limits (see Advanced tab).
    2. Wait the required amount of time before scanning again.
