Disabling automatic case conversion

Some NFS client products change the capitalization of file names by default, typically by converting to lowercase. This behavior can cause problems for the MVFS and cleartool commands so you must disable case conversion in the product you are using.

About this task

As noted in Case-sensitivity, different platforms have different rules for treatment of character case in file-name lookups. Typically, you can use a command-line option to disable case conversion for a particular NFS mount. However, remote storage directories are mounted automatically by HCL VersionVault. For correct behavior on these mounts, configure NFS to disable case conversion for all mounts.
