Updating the configuration of a push

You can change the configuration of a push after you save it for the first time. The Summary push tab provides a link to open the Edit push tab.

Procedure

  1. On the Summary push tab, click Edit Edit. The Edit push tab opens.
  2. Edit the general properties for the push in the Properties section.
    Field Action
    Name Change the name of the push.
    Communication Select a push communication to reference for the push. Click Select a Communication to display a list of push communications that are available in your HCL Unica installation.
    Push Type (displays after you select a communication and save the configuration) Read only. This field is populated according to the type of push communication that you select.
    Mobile App Select from the mobile apps that are integrated with Deliver for your hosted messaging account.

    Source for mobile app user ID (Install ID)

    (displays only if you select a recipient list)

    Accept the default personalization field or select another field.

    System administrators define a default personalization field to provide the mobile app user ID. If the selected OLT contains the default personalization field, the default field displays.

    If the OLT does not contain the default field, the Source for mobile app user ID field displays the first personalization field that is defined in the OLT. You must select the field in the OLT that maps to the mobile user ID.

  3. Edit Delivery Parameters.
    Field Action
    Push code You can enter a different value.
    How long until links, URLs, and inbox notifications expire Enter the number of days. The default is 2 days.
  4. If the push defines constant personalization fields, you can edit the values. The new values display in notifications the next time that you run the push.
  5. Save changes.
    The Summary push tab displays.
